ACS Participation at Eco Summit

This past week three students, members of the ACS Green Team, represented ACS at the Sustainable Schools Initiative Eco Summit at the National Exhibition Center. Loran Pelacky impressed the presiding teachers with a poised presentation about the work of our Eco Club at all levels and Julia Grifferty’s Boot the Bottle campaign was highlighted as one of the more noteworthy programs for a school to pursue. The Roots and Shoots students took a field trip and met with Tara Golshan, the Executive Director of Roots and Shoots. She inspired students to continue to make the small contributions that have collective impact.
